Soul Poems

See these poems that I write,
Hold them gently in your mind.
Close your eyes now, rest awhile,
And bit by bit, this you’ll find.

See the words but not the words,
Look beneath them – you will see,
The Wisdom Light within your soul,
And that is where your Truth will be.

For lies this Truth not in words,
Not in ideas, not in time.
But in the beauty of your soul,
The soul that lives beneath your mind.

These are a few thoughts that translated into poems chronicled over the years, following a spiritual journey from a state of abject ignorance to a slightly less ignorant state.

The words in these poems emerged spontaneously, born of the suffering of doubt & desperation (and occasionally even joy) but always with the purpose of learning that led to a discovery of an ever deeper meaning of the purpose of one’s life.

May these words, however modest, be of some use to those who, like me, need to begin their own journey of self-discovery & healing.
